Gothic Rapidweaver Theme 3.0.1 (Mac OS X)
Gothic is one of the classic 3rd party RW themes, and one of the handful that don't look like a typical RW theme. Whatever the name, this one is highly variable, and makes a great foundation for an attractive creative site. [alert admin]

Capture One PRO 3.7.8 (Mac OS X)
Strange, I've been using version 4 of the non-pro version, and I thought the pro version was also at 4. Version 4 is a major, major update that looks entirely different and runs great on Intel. If you're in the market for this, I'd wait for the 4 version since your purchase price includes a limited number of updates. [alert admin]

Direct Mail 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)
This is a great and feature packed upgrade to slickest and easiest app of its type for Mac. I'm very impressed, and it's been amazingly easy to send out several trial mailings over the past few days. Seems very stable, and the new features are well worth the upgrade price. [alert admin]

PhotoPresenter 3.0 (Mac OS X)
This cool app is the easiest way to make a reliable multimedia show, and it has lots of extras. Amazing price, too. I use it to create presentations for my photo classes and clients. I own all the similart apps that I know of, but when I need to get things done fast, and make it a great show, this one can't be beat. [alert admin]

NewsFire 1.4 (v69) (Mac OS X)
Great app until you need help. The internet registration system appears to only work on one computer; if your computer dies and you try to move your apps to another computer, this one will fail to register. Not a big problem, but the developer is too much of a jerk to answer help requests to reset the values so I can use the app. I've emailed more than once over the past few weeks with never a response. There's nothing worse than software with no support, so I'm moving on to something better... [alert admin]

TabMeister 2.0.3 (Mac OS X)
I own lots of launchers, but this one has become my favorite. Not bloated with confusing options, nice looking, stable. Just wish it had support for two monitors. [alert admin]

SMS 3.4 (Mac OS X)
CallWave has a very clean, very nice service; they've obviously gone to great lengths to protect client privacy, and they are not pushy sales people. I set up their service that sends text messages to my phone, and relays my voice messages to my email. It's a great service; however, ATT charges me 15 cents for each incoming text message from CallWave even though I have a text message package; ATT labels the messages as "instant messenger" text messages, and claims they are not covered in the text message plan; of course, ATT is notorious for making billing errors and providing flaky information, so it could be a problem with them, too. I'd be curious to hear from CallWave how I could set it up to not pay an extra "instant messenger" fee. [alert admin]

Keep It Together 1.3.6 (Mac OS X)
I've been enjoying using this to organize my documents into one easy place. Has a nice UI and is very easy to use. Adding very large files is a bit slow, and performance is pretty slow on my G4 PowerBook if you add more than 5,000 items, most of them large photos. However, after streamlining my items, and using a linking system to store the larger collections of photos with another app, the performance is reasonable (with a little over 2,000 items). Even though the developer insists on a "flat file" import to make organizing into different projects easy, I wish there was an option to automatically keep and show a folder import/export; I find myself archiving some folders into zip files before import just to make it easy to find all the parts later. I also use DevonThink specifically for folders that need to stay collected and are too big to zip into KIT, but I like the clean and easy UI of KIT to store all documents I frequently access. Also wish there was a way to view and edit tags now that they've added a tag option, probably planned for a future release. [alert admin]

URGENT - Do Not Buy This Software ![]()

Thanks for the developers reply to this bizarre and groundless accusation made above. My impression (and experience) is that this fantastic software comes from a reliable and trustworthy company that is out to help their users, not damage them. If someone is that paranoid about putting their list online in a secure fashion, then don't use the company's server function, use your own; it's all possible with this software. I personally keep my lists in…

I own WriteRoom, and several other apps that have a full screen writing feature. I use WriteRoom exclusively because I like its UI, and its plugin ability to use with multiple applications. It's really brilliant.

Forgot to add: the pro SanDisk Extreme III cards come with a free license for PhaseOne regular edition. You can then use that code to upgrade to pro for a discount, and at least get a "free" memory card out of the deal... .

Nice! Nice to see you have an open and far reaching mind, unlike some of the other commenters here... . I'm glad to see VersionTracker believes in freedom.

Well, that seems to imply that all photo viewing apps have the potential for spying. Like the other person posting a comment here, my work is all original. I have maybe 30 apps on my computer that view photos in some way; so I should be paranoid when I use any of them? Why would anyone want an online database of my personal original work? So, what's the purpose, to find terrorists (I know the government…

Well, I've processed thousands of images now and have no complaints about the workflow. The updating of high-res previews is about the same as other 3rd party apps. I own a mountain of photo software, and this has quickly become a favorite of mine. Once the pattern of work is established, it's quick and flawless. I have no regrets about purchasing it.
