Gizmo 3.1.2.222 (Mac OS X)
Hi, I'm wondering about the VersionTracker description of Gizmo: "Gizmo - Mac OS X P2P telephony client using the SIP protocol" Gizmo is definitely a SIP client. As such, it talks with a SIP server in order to communicate with other SIP clients. In what sense is Gizmo a P2P client? --Bri [alert admin]

GeekTool 2.1.2 (Mac OS X)
Where did version 2.1.2 come from?
Where did version 2.1.2 come from? The developer's web site makes no mention of 2.1.2. It's still distributing 2.1.1 as the latest. How can VT be distributing a newer version than the developer is distributing on his own web site? Shouldn't the developer's web site be the authoritative source? I think I'll stick with 2.1 for a while longer until this gets cleared up. Weird... --Brian [alert admin]

Hi, FWIW, Meteorologist works fine for me with Leopard. I'm running on a PowerBook G4 and I'm current with all Software Update updates. The only problem I've noticed is that there are a lot of unnecessary event messages written to /var/log/system.log and /var/log/asl.db. This has been communicated to the developers and added to their list of things to look at. The developers have a discussion forum at http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=268087. Perhaps if you post some details…

Hi, Despite the version numbering confusion, I went ahead and installed this. Within each of the included applications, I looked in the "Help:About OpenOffice.org" dialog box. It says "2.2" in really big letters, and then beneath this and right above the copyright notice it says "2.2.1". Also, the byte count of the latest 2.2.1 .dmg is larger than the byte count of the previous 2.2.0 .dmg. I'll bet we really do have 2.2.1 with…

Hi, Well, I went ahead and did the update. Thankfully, OpenOffice 2.0.4 PPC is still running fine for me. There aren't any stalls on startup. I should probably clarify about which OpenOffice keyboard shortcuts aren't working for me. The CTRL- shortcuts are working fine. The ones I can't get to work are the more general purpose Alt- shortcuts that activate the application's pull-down menus. I'm certainly open to…

Hi, Which version(s) of OpenOffice are folks finding breaking in this fashion? And are we talking PPC or Intel flavors? I"m wondering if I should upgrade my X11 1.1 to this latest X11 1.1.2. I'm running OpenOffice 2.0.4 PPC and it's working alright as is with X11 1.1. The only things I can't get to work at all are keyboard shortcuts. Keyboard shortcuts work just fine for me in other applications like GIMP…

Hi... I haven't seen 0.9.0 yet. I'm still using 0.8.0. In 0.8.0, I can't seem to find a way to have deleted mail placed in whatever IMAP folder I choose. It saves it in my IMAP account "Trash" folder by default. I've looked around on the Thunderbird web site, but I haven't yet found a way to do this. Most other good e-mail clients I've encountered permit one to choose this folder. …
