Camino 1.6.3 (Mac OS X)
This happens every time they update. Why don't they heck it before they issue the update? After a while the 1Password preference is accepted. [alert admin]

I registered this NewsReader when it first came out. It is now absolutely useless and my money was wasted. It does not download my full group list, writing to the Developer is a waste of time as his address is invalid. The forum has not had any entries in it since 2006,further VT should not list it any longer as someone may pay for it and lose their money. The worst part of all of this is that it is impossible to contact the developer because writing to his address on his web site results in your email being returned. [alert admin]

Opera 9.5 (Mac OS X)
This Comment from the MacUpdate web site says it all!
CALL ME YO DADDY Now I understand why Opera only has less than a 1% market share. Opera use to be a good browser about a year ago. This new interface has been designed to fit into the Vista environment. The native theme for the Mac is still too Window-ish. I could live with that I suppose but Opera is no longer the fastest browser by far. That was something Opera use to be a able to boast. After installing it and using it, the speed differences between Firefox 3 and Safari was very obvious. Opera was slow and rendering some pages poorly. What a far cry from what Opera use to be like. I guess the developers took this browser as far as they could. And if you think this is just my exclusive opinion, just visit the Opera labs blog and take a look at the comments of Opera fans. Many are not pleased with this new release. Anyway I'm quite happy with the nightly builds of Webkit, Saft and Inquisitor plugins along with NightShift. Unlike Opera the nightly builds of Webkit are incredibly fast, stable and very polished. (Version 9.5) [ [alert admin]

They can go visit a tree for all I care. As for this version of QT. It runs great! No problems at all with QTPro. With respect to Synergy it still doesn't appear here. It IS an important update. When will it appear tommorow? Thenext day? Maybe not at all? I always check MacUpdate and find the missing apps that VT forgets about. It is a real miserable way to service the Mac developers whom Cnet really doesn't give a darn about. [alert admin]

Apple QuickTime 7.5 (Mac OS X)
VT misses the boat again as usual!
This update showed up late again. I got it yesterday on MacUpdate. They still don't have the new version of Synergy. An important update that finally shows the artwork in Leopard in their application. It is on Macupdate as of yesterday. Things have gotten a lot worse since Cnet took over. [alert admin]

Demeter 1.5b2 (Mac OS X)
Demeter crashed on the Demeter Website
I switched backto 1.09 and all is OK. The beta is really not what I need. Too unstable and no sidebar. I got all my feeds back with 1.09 and all is now Ok. [alert admin]

Curator 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)
Curator by caffein and owned by Stone Software is available and works on Leopard Intel and PPC
It is not this app but is a great Graphic Viewer that shows your photos and .jpg,Gif and other formats in a style similar to mail.app I don't know why the developer chose to use this title for his app but I guess he didn't realize that another app with this exact name existed. (benefit of the doubt taken) [alert admin]

"Yes I do have a VALID argument" - BS
I think you are incorrect in your theory that the Developers are responsible for the reporting to VT and MU on the updating of their apps. VT DOES have employees whose job is to scan the apps they have listed as well as others they doesn't have and keep their data bases current. BTW SYNERGY is STILL not listed here. Many Mac users have this app and this was an important update. In order to…

Yes I do have a VALID argument
Well I don't work for VT so I can't tell you how they maintain their data bases . I do know that in the not too distant past before Cnet took over VT they started to deteriorate in their reporting of updates. This deterioration became more accelerated when Cnet took over. Cnet seems focused on Windows and it seems gives Mac updates a "kiss and a Prayer" NOW Macupdate on the other hand is dedicated…

This sometimes is normal behavior when you first launch it after doing a software update. Close it and launch it again and everything will be OK. Or close the movie file you were watching and launch the file again and all will be OK.

VT misses the boat again as usual!
I agree Laraine but have you noticed that Synergy which has a large following of Mac users and is a Mac application is STILL not shown on VT. It seems that they are focused on Windows and Mac is not important to them. As far as "breaking the speed limit" is concerned why should you get that message when you haven't posted at all and in fact haven't been on line? There are some people…

Mac Users have a RIGHT to criticise!
If you consider a VALID critique of a web site or an irritating procedure then you are a person that is attempting to usurp and disenfranchise us of our rights . I plan to exercise my rights despite your invalid comment.

VT misses the boat again as usual!
Yes it was on the MacUpdate site during the day. It wasn't on VT until late tonight. MU always scoops VT. Don't tell me about Vortexes . It is wasn't until late tonight that VT finally listed it.More importantly Synergy's stabile version isn't listed at all. This web site is supposed to service the users and developers. Do you think they are doing a good job? I don't think so and there are numerous others…

VT misses the boat again as usual!
I sure did! It wasn't here on VT until very late. VT was down today as well. As far as Synergy is concerned I can't imagine VT missing an important update like that. I am sick of the old routine of duplicate postings and stuff like "you broke the speed limit" when you haven't even been on the internet to post at all! Macupdate had Quicktime on their web site since early this morning with…

Hi Morgan ,I don't know why you say that the instructions are for a 3rd party app when these are the exact instructions taken from the official Camino web site on changing themes:1) Right-click on Camino and choose Show Package Contents from the contextual menu. 2) Navigate to Contents/PreferencePanes. 3) Right-click on a .prefPane and choose Show Package Contents from the contextual menu. 4) Navigate to Contents/Resources. 5) Replace the .tiff file with an icon of your choosing (make…

Maybe you can change the style but the method espoused is intricate, complex and convoluted. In addition it is not something the average Mac user would be able to do. After all the prerequisite to use a browser should not include the ability to use code and program. More importantly you did not address yourself to the point I brought up which is the persistent (through all versions of Camino) inability to reorder tabs something that…
