Product Description:

EasyTask is a To-Do list that supports the GTD (Getting Things Done) method. Take control of your life by knowing exactly what's on your To-Do list for the day and what you need to do next in order to move your projects forward. It includes an Online Sync letting you access your tasks online or with the iPhone. You can order tasks or actions by project or context. A context is the place or toolset that you need in order to finish a task or action. For example: Are you sitting at your computer wondering what it was you needed to do? With EasyTask just look at the "Computer" context to see all the things in your To-Do list that you can accomplish while sitting at your computer. Are you waiting at the doctor's office with some time and your cell phone at hand? Look at your EasyTask "Phone" context and get to work. You can also sort tasks or actions by days of the week. So when you wake up in the morning you know exactly what you need to accomplish that day. There is nothing more annoying than knowing that there was something that you needed to do but can't remember what it was. Clear your mind of all its little lists and let EasyTask take care of them for you. Move through your day, confident that you are not forgetting anything. With EasyTask you can print your To-Do list on paper to take with you.

EasyTask Manager CommentaryHow about ability to fetch phone #'s from Address Book - Version: 2.0.10, 9/7/2008 08:37AM PST

arteest103--2008
I've been trying out different task managers--"Things" being the latest-- and Easy Task Manager seems like a possible candidate. With iGTD you used to be able to grab a phone number out of Address Book. That is my most important criteria so far because there are several productivity products that do the job but none have this feature (that I know of).

EasyTask Manager Review2.0.7 & 2.0.8 - Version: 2.0, 8/5/2008 02:31AM PST

My need is for a very simple task manager which this software provides. The interface is easy and, once you've got your head around the difference between 'Project' and 'Context', the flexibility in organising tasks is extensive. It's a pity that Apple doesn't include this sort of functionality in iCal - I really don't understand their thinking on this. Syncing both between iPhone and Mac desktop and either of those with the freely provided web server is seamless.

I had a couple of small issues initially and the response from the developer was immediate both in terms of telling me that attention to them was in hand and in providing the fix (in an emailed attachment less than 24 hours after my initial query) which will be version 2.0.8

I recommend this software and have complete confidence in the developer.

The price may seem high to some, but this software is a perfect example of the often heard axiom: "You get what you pay for".

EasyTask Manager ReviewVery Promising but not quite there - Version: 1.9.0, 10/27/2007 12:14AM PST

I gave EasyTask a closer look as it seemed to promise everything I needed:
- a clean nice GUI
- ease of use
- syncing options for ical
- an online acount for the road
- a windows client for the office (they don´t use macs there unfotunately)

Now comes my "but", which made me discard it as my solution of choice:
- online syncing is not working properly, tasks, contexts and projects are not all there after syncing
- syncing with ical is a bit blurry as well, i had some tasks 1 day behind what I had specified in EasyTask
- the windows version is a bit behind the mac version, so not all features are supported on both
- the windows version does not work with a http-proxy, which renders it unusable in corporate networks

i´ll be giving EasyTask another look, when it is a bit more mature, but for now i will not use it.
