Product Description:

You shouldn't have to think about how to track your time. You should just do it. Start. Stop. No hassle. OfficeTime feels intuitive because it adapts to your style, not the other way around.

Behind OfficeTime's elegant and deceptively simple interface lies the power to keep track of exactly what you and your team do each day:

  • Rich, flexible real-time reports and pie graphs at the touch of a button.
  • Easily time and track multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Track the kinds of work you do and for whom.
  • Keep expenses and detailed notes.
  • Advanced rounding for finicky people.
  • Customisable template-driven invoicing.
  • Cross-Employee reporting by project, date and category from multiple workstations.
  • Start, stop and pause projects from within any application.
  • iCal synchronization & Address Book integration.
  • Mac OS X "Leopard" and Intel Mac (Universal Binary) compatible.
  • And of course all the shortcuts and little refinements that make a program a joy to use.

What's new in this version:

Version 1.3.3 offers 10 new improvements and bug fixes and is a free upgrade.

New Features

  • Better safety with data integrity checking. OfficeTime checks what has been written on each save in case you are having disk issues or memory corruption.

Improvements

  • Invoices now support just about any language and character set in common use. If you were previously having difficulties with currency symbols or extended characters, they should now work without difficulty.
  • Improved preference screen icons. Icons now look more like part of a harmonious family.

Bug Fixes

  • You can now correctly sort your projects by date in the Edit Projects screen.
  • The preference window no longer moves up when first clicked on possibly obscuring the close button.
  • Editing time in a report no longer causes the report to momentarily jitter.
  • Fixes memory leak when opening multiple datafiles consecutively.
  • Creating an invoice based upon only selected sessions now works again.
  • Removed the scrollbar from session notes field because it was visually problematic at small sizes.
  • No longer adds extraneous "\\ \\" symbols before commas into iCal during synchronization.

OfficeTime ReviewLove at first use - Version: 1.3.3, 8/27/2008 12:02PM PST

I am a fanatic supporter of Officetime and I always recommend it to anyone who is looking for a time-keeping solution for their business. I've looked into a few other products, and this is the only solution that had EVERYTHING I was looking for (and trust me - I'm not easy to please :-). Especially important to me is the ability to customize the program to do what I want. As if that wasn't enough, to top it all off, their customer support actually provides support - great support!

I'm a virtual assistant (www.yourgotogirls.com) and I am constantly going back and forth between client work during the day. It's SO easy to switch timing when I start to work on new projects.

Also, Invoicing used to take me almost a full day, as I tracked my time in Excel. Now, I basically just push a button and it's DONE.

So to sum up my thoughts on the product:
It's great.
I love it.
There is none like it.
Seriously.
You guys totally rock!

OfficeTime ReviewHighly Recommended - Version: 1.3.2, 8/3/2008 03:36PM PST

I'm a consultant and always needing to track time. I'm also forgetful and often forgetting to log my time. After about six months of use, I'll be sticking with OfficeTime. I've tried several, but OT has the best overall package. Setting up jobs, pulling daily/weekly/monthly reports, and exporting are all dead simple. Starting or stopping any job from the menu bar is a one click operation and I'm beginning to wonder how I lived without it. It has a simple automatic backup that will not replace your regular routine, but is a welcome safety net. It's all wrapped up in a clean UI that has what you need without getting in the way. I've more than made up for the cost of this product in billable hours I would have lost track of otherwise.

One quibble- I'd like to batch export all my projects for a month into discrete files. Currently, multiple jobs can be combined into one report or invoice, but you have to set up and run the operation for each file you want to generate.

Still, I love this product and recommend it to anyone who has to track time on several projects at once.

OfficeTime ReviewGreat product - Version: 1.3.2, 7/3/2008 04:56PM PST

I used another software to track time on project and it lacked many features I needed. Since the announced new version started to look like vaporware I looked elsewhere and found OfficeTime and now I'm glad I did!
This is a great program which does everything I want in a time tracking program. It integrates wonderfully with iCal and has powerful reporting features (and it can also work for teams, although I have yet to try that). Check it out!
The customer service is great also. I didn't have any problems, just questions, and they were very nice. The demo period is long enough to really get to know the product and they offer a no question money-back warranty.
