Adobe Flash Professional Troubleshooting ReportCan't seem to update 9.0.0.494 to 9.0.2 - Version: 9.0.2, 3/5/2008 03:08PM PST

Downloaded update, and it fails to run on my version of Flash. I also used the Adobe Updater to search for the latest updates. A while back it downloaded this update, and supposedly updated Flash (as well as other CS3 products), and still, my app reads as version 9.0.0.494.

So, either the update didn't actually work, or there is a bug in the update where the application does get updated, but they don't change the version information.

Thoughts?

Adobe Flash Professional Troubleshooting ReportAdobe's 'Updater' saying 'up to date' - Version: 9.0.2, 1/9/2008 04:12AM PST

Hi,

For a while I have been advised by Version Tracker Pro that Adobe Flash CS3 has an update from my version 9.0.0.494 to the current version 9.0.2. However, Adobe's own updater program says everything is up to date; this despite there appearing to be a 9.0.2 update file on Adobe's update page:

http://www.adobe.com/support/flash/downloads.html#flashCS3

Should I let Version Tracker update or wait until the Adobe update program deals with it???

Regards,

Andrew

Adobe Flash Professional CommentarySlowest Installer I've Ever Seen - Version: 9.0.2, 12/14/2007 03:37PM PST

Took about twenty minutes to install on a MacPro 4-core tower.

Take all other comments about the slow installer to heart -, it really is.

What Adobe doesn't seem to realize is that after dealing with previous update snafus while managing a bunch of machines at work I immediately assumed that once again the updater was borked (a la Illustrator 11.0.2 update) and I would need to do a reinstall for the third time.

Good thing I waited.
