Tried on a Intel 1.66 Mini with 10.5.4, Diablo II loaded fine and updated to 1.12a easily. Game would start, allow the picking of a character and take you to the first level, Then crash 10 seconds after your character starts walking. By crash I mean kernel attack, reboot the machine crash. Great game just didn't play on this machine with this OS. I did not try playing in software mode, since I have a older machine that plays the game just fine.

Using a Mac Pro 2.66 Quad with 4 GB RAM, and running 10.5.3 with all updates. D2: LoD crashes when launched. Reinstalled the entire game, and reapplied 1.12a. Reverted to 1.11b, still crashes. Anyone got ideas?

a warning to all those diablo fans who try to update and get 1.11.
Stay away from it if possibe, me and my freind recently started trying playing through tcip in diablo and it was really bad from the start, tried everything to try to connect but always got CANNOT CONNECT TO SERVER or dissconected during play which we barely ever got up to.

We did however manage to fix the problem by getting 1.10 installed. we didnt like battlenet because my friend got trojans and a hacker through it. 1.10 good 1.11 BAD unless u want to try it, but if you ever want a direct connect or tcp/ip game stay away from 1.11 and keep 1.10

no problems recently since we did this. and yes diablo could easily be one of the best games ever, cheers blizzard
